| | New updates | Fri 22nd Jan 2010, 17:34 | I've added some games that I made using Javascript. They're rather unrefined.. I created them with no more than a text editor and MS Paint.
Binwarz was a game I originally coded in PASCAL back in 1991, and was really just an experiment with first-person movement.
Blockout is an attempt to make a game like Breakout, Arkanoid, etc. The ball mechanics had to be simplified to get any kind of speed out of the game, and unfortunately it's suffered a bit.
Blackjack is just what it says, with the exception that the dealer never accepts defeat. It'll try to win, draw, or go bust.
Space Invaders is pretty obvious. I'm not keen on the graphics.. maybe I'll make better ships someday. The lives don't stop at zero, as they tend to disappear quite fast, and the game is over too soon. I may re-enable the lives after some tweaking.
I've also added a portfolio of previous websites. Eventually, I hope to have them all online again, as static images don't do them a lot of justice. | [comment]

I've changed the way the main window centers, so it doesn't jump across the screen (very annoying on dial-up) and I've worked on the journal page to allow for comments. That's about it for now - not too exciting, eh?

For no apparent reason the PHP sessions aren't working very well online. Naturally they work fine at home, but something must be set differently on my host.. I'm not sure what yet.
Anyway, all seems well again and the images are there for the viewing. This site is still under construction, so don't be surprised if it changes a little bit in the near future.

| | Just a quickie before bed | Mon 25th Apr 2005, 02:00 | ..and now I notice that the sql system time isn't in GMT, but at least the journal entries are working. ah well, something else for me to ponder. I know several ways of changing that, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

| | First of many | Mon 25th Apr 2005, 01:51 | Well, my new site design is up, and for some reason it's not retrieving image information from the database. No mysql errors, and the database is populated.. it's very strange. Obviously it works at home, so I can only test it by constantly uploading and hitting CTRL+F5 a lot. *sigh*
